Late Sunday
August 2009 is coming by, marks one year of working life in this big blue ocean. As a matter of having this middle-of-no-where feeling, life still goes on... and is all about spending money.. and cashing out at the end of the month for the high bills..
FOOD...
Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch
Ah well, the main course does not interest me much these days. Trying out weird sides and small stuff are the cravings.
Mango Pudding at Long Beach (dry ice decorated the bottom)
I for one, personally do not enjoy work lunch/dinner.. fully distressing trying to keep my table etiquette while performing work-related conversation.. in addition to all, keeping the non-locals interested on the table is quite an amount. In the end, I managed to surpass all distraught and eventually blend. One of the goodies the corporate world could offer, is nothing better than a free lunch. It was a challenge to balance between British, Germans, Japanese and Chinese. That's why Malaysian rocks! Taking a depth into, I wonder why there weren't any Singaporeans that night?
PLACES..
Heaven's Loft at 8th floor
It was a Sunday. It was the new opening of Orchard Central. It was a stroll after Ice Age 3. So why not? The live band at the mezzanine was jazzy and pretty cool.
The usual hangout - Crazy Elephant
Running around on Friday night, half drunk with Margarita Lime. I was tired oukay.
SHOPPING...
TopSHop/TOpMAn
The popular line-up at the new Louis Vuitton. No, there's no sales.
No, there's no sales in Swarovski either
How nice is Ion's toilet, that made me spend time to capture my preys
Yeah, all about ION ORCHARD now, it's the new fish in town. Shopping is about Singapore, Singapore has all about shopping...only... Maybe i should be grateful that this syndrome has grant me much immunity in retail procurement.. but sadly, i'm still far from "buying what's necessary".. hahaha.
TRAVEL
Booked a few flights home..which cost more than a bom
Thank you firefly for offering the 80-minute flight of Singapore-Ipoh. And thank you for closing your gates 30 minutes before time so that i have enough time to rush from Jurong or Aljunied all the way to Changi. Thank you also for the less affordable price in circumstance of the convenience weighed in.
.......
Talking about what realize those pictures above..and most of my time is spent on....
WORK
Happy Place after 6pm and those breaks in between
And some indulgence on..
MUSIC & LITERATURE
Lenka is pretty cool, she's Czech and Aussie mixed.
Still can't get enough of MJ's tunes too.
And radio is always the best choice for chinese songs, coz i duno which is which.
Reading the rusty old charm of Voltaire's Dictionary.
DREAM
Still the prime thing that i have always liked to do..be it snoozing or awake. I dream more than i can control myself from doing so..always drifting off too easily to be true.. and i hope dreams do come true. I believe it will someday... *floatz
My hopes are high at stakes. Is it truly the greener pasture? I believe so.. Let those staccati beat on.. Let's all hope and dream together ^_^
Gosh, it's 1 am and i'm still editing..gonna miss the 'taxi' tomorrow morning to work. Good night. Oyasuminasai. Gute nacht. Wan An.
P/S : It will not be a happy week as Malaysia's creative director, Yasmin Ahmad had just passed away. Days would gloom to mourn. I truly believe she had instilled a heart in each of us for all the work she did.
